Organizing Your Unit
Plan ahead. Think accessibility.
If you will need to access your stored items often, make sure you leave sufficient aisle space. That way, you can leave gaps between your things and access them without having to move anything around. Always place the more frequently needed items close to the entrance of your storage unit.
Storing Your Things
1. When stacking your boxes, place
durable, heavy items on the bottom
and lighter, fragile items on the top.
2. Use boxes of the same size. They'll
be easier to stack.
3. Move in the heavy, bulky items
first.
4. For refrigerators and freezers, be
sure to defrost, clean and dry them
out. When storing them, leave the
doors slightly ajar to prevent mold
from growing inside.
5. Do not store any hazardous or
combustible items such as petrol,
cleaning fluids, paint, etc. Drain
petrol from lawn mowers, power
tools etc. prior to storing inside.
6. Do not store food items as they
may attract rodents and/or pests.
7. Check your unit once a month to
make sure none of your boxes have
shifted or collapsed.
8. Be sure to use a good quality locks
to secure your unit.

How do I calculate how much storage space to rent?
Our Storage Specialists can assist you in determining the right size. Just give us a brief description of what will be stored and we will help you determine how much space is needed.
Do I have to rent for a certain number of months?
No, your lease is on a month-to-month basis with a minimum one month commitment.
When is my rent due?
Your rent is due on the same day of each month based on the date that you moved in. If you move in on the 17th of the month it will always be due on that day each month.
How do I pay my rent?
Your rent is due on or before the due date each month. You may pay by cash at the Century 21 Beenleigh office or internet transfer.
Is there power in your units?
For the safety and security of all our customers, there are no power outlets in our units.
Do I need content insurance or does my home insurance protect my belongings in storage?
You are responsible for insurance coverage for your belongings while they are in storage. You will need to arrange specific content insurance with your insurance company.
Does your self storage facility provide pest control?
Yes, each unit is pest controlled before you move in. We are committed to maintaining a pest-free facility.
Are there any items which I cannot store?
You cannot store any hazardous, toxic, or illegal items. Also, no food or perishable items can be stored in our spaces.

Construction
All storage facilities are not the same!
Our storage units are made of fire rated high tensile steel and designed to allow your goods to ventilate. Doors are industrial grade roller doors and are fitted with heavy duty locks that cannot be accessed by bolt cutters.
Some other facilities are made of concrete which does not allow the goods to breathe and can cause mold and mildew.
There are also different levels of security: some storage facilities leave their gates open during the day for the public to wander in and out, some have steep driveways, and some do not have a manager attending at the site to keep it clean and vermin free.
Beenleigh Self Storage prides itself on its cleanliness and security with electronic gates that are only opened by your personalised access code, CCTV system and nightly security patrols!
